Tampons.

Ok, I've had a few conversations with people lately that have sincerely disturbed me, no name naming, but it really did make me feel ill.
I've had people claim it's wrong for a woman to use tampons because it compromises her "virginity"......Really?! Look the fucking word up. if you're talking about the mucosa membrane, that could actually be painful to break in intercourse.
I mean, it really DISGUSTS me when men talk about desiring to shed blood and cause pain to a woman on her first experience, just so he can be assured she's a virgin, if you dont trust her, why the fuck would you sleep with her.....Jesus.
I mean, really tampons are just infinitely more comfortable for a female, because they don't smell for one, they don't itch, you're able to resume normal physical activity, ect. Why on earth would you encourage a woman not to for such a disgusting selfish reason? I personally think it's a GOOD idea not not have it intact for coitarche, but maybe my outlandish ideas are why guys don't ask me out, insincere men, all I have to say :) Glad really.

If you have anything to say or add to this, go ahead, but don't be all "ew, that's a yucky thing to talk about" becuase you saw the title and chose to read it frekkers.

Drugs?

Anti depressant medication, just going to say a quick few words about my opinion on it, I think it's really wonderful and necessary in many cases. As it gives you the chance to really detach and stand back without the mental and emotional chaos and actually pinpoint your issues, work through them without the angst. Mental illness has many levels, even though it may have started through emotional turmoil, it does create chemical imbalance that makes it super, duper hard to get through, and it gives a TEMPORARY boost so you can remove yourself a little to work through issues.
But it's not a permanent solution, I think relying on any kind of drug that alters the way you think and relate to yourself and others is a negative thing to rely on.
Anyway, gimme a yell with your thoughts and experience :)

Relationships

I've been confronted from many people, on my opinion on relationships, romantic, family, friend or whatever! or problems within a relationship. I'm just going to answer most common sort of questions and issues I'm personally confronted with.

(not that I claim to know about life and relationships, I honestly have very little world experience, just my observation and personal reflection)

One issue I see, all the time, in friendships, romantic relationships, and families is the belief that you cannot relate to people with dissimilar personalities and interests. Thus, reject those who are different.
My own opinion is that having a different perspective, skills hobbies and ways of relating to people and the world brings something new to the relationship and helps you to understands different points of view, extent your own concepts. Especially in a close or romantic relationship, where you are required to work as a partnership when relating to each other, as well as 'outsiders'. Having different attitudes and ways of dealing and different skills are really great for personal growth and working through life. (and hey, if you think that your friend, family or partner's hobbies are stupid, if you care about them, and they support it it must have some merit, right? :) )
Further digressing, I think that way too many people thrust themself into a close, personal relationship, thinking knowing personal things, about them and their experiences and life is knowing the person. You cannot know a person just from what they do and their personal moments, whether you can live from them day to day tends to depend on how they relate to other people, many and varied situations, how they operate and react. Which is, really, only learnt through time and observation. In my opinion

Casual Sex? I personaly disagree with it, telling me that you need to regularly have sex for your mental/physical health tells me you suck at jerking off and have no imagination. You have needs? Sure, you can have all kinds of crazy things happening with all the strange people you want. In your head. Once you take it outside of your head, you open yourself for
a) STDs
b) Emotional involvement/damage, don't really know other's circumstance or motives
c) Pregnancy with a person you don't care for
Long term, and short, much better and healthier to keep sex to a deeper, caring, personal experience. Within an exclusive relationship (yeah, that's my excuse..... :P )

This is just something about people that repels me right away, just wanting to throw it out there, I mean, sometimes I get people who you know, feel like they get along well with me and relate to me after meeting, and will absolutely throw themself at me, every time they see me within 200 metres, "hey, how you doing :3...how's your weekend, what's ur opinion on this, help me with this, guess what happen to me today!" blah blah, it really intimidates me '~' Or people online, who every time I log on, within a second start trying to get my attention, talk to me, ask opinions, tell me how great I am (?) I'm not a baby, I don't need affirmation from near strangers every two seconds, that seems more like you're sucking up than want to be my friend.
I just sort of think friendship is a process that you cant really force or leap into like that? I like certain etiquettes and personal space observed. I DO NOT want to hear about how your stepfather beat you, you don't feel as pretty as everyone else and your boyfriend never texts you anymore after knowing you for a week, it's DAMN AWKWARD. Ok? That's personal shit.
If you want to chat, or say hi, that's lovely, just please no smothering, unless you know I want you to smother me :3 then by all means go ahead, you know who you are!!!

Cabin fever!!!

I haven't left the house really in almost 2 weeks besides a jog around the block or something, I mean, I know I cant really go out atm for obvious reasons, but it's driving me nuts! I haven't seen anyone I don't live with for the past two weeks. Driving me insane, now I have an all clear to go back to school and normal activity.
Not that I have a great school truancy record at the best of times :3

Rapscallion downed [Ogre Pinata] 25 man!!!!!

It's really annoying actually, as we haven't made ANY progress in 10 or 25 man ICC since putricide, and even that's too hard for people now. Doing icc25 yesterday, we were hitting enrage at about 16% on fester25, I mean, there are people CLEARLY not pulling their slack as dps, looking @ meter there are people doing 4k dps and under...I know it's lovely to have a guild run and all, but I personally would prefer to bring some pugs in and actually get it done, as this whole business makes me not want to really try anymore ): I mean, I've been saying FOREVER that we need to have some kind of "class captain" things, where the top players actually take some time to talk to those of same class and discuss how to standardise the dps and stats people stack. It would help our progression and loot council imo.

Ps: or just ditch the mentality that we are a serious competitive raiding guild, and promote we're more a fun, flexible bunch of people who still enjoy clearing content

Why I don't want to go to the circle jerk final year retreat next week.

Simply, it seems pretentious, as well as a waste of three freaking days my time. Oh, and not just days, the seminars go till something like 10pm too. Group hug, talk about yourself type sessions simply make me feel really nervous, I don't want to talk about my personal life with those freaks? I've had 6 years to do so. If anyone cared the slightest about me, or my life at school, they too have had years without the help of some councilor telling them to. Sure, everyone may hug and forget about their difference for a day or two, but in the end it all goes back to them being jerks and using anything said against them.


I'm perfectly polite and helpful to people, doesn't mean I have to suddenly become bosom buddies, jeeze. If I like someone, they'll probly know about it pretty quickly. I'm not someone to frek around, you know?

I just think it's total bull that I'm expected to go or have negitive reprocussions on my VCE? I Don't see how that works or how they justify that at all. Seems like total bull to me in any case. There's no way they could make that affect your grade. lol

But many people have misconceptions about vegetarianism, and specifically about mine. I'mma see if I can explain this to you jerks.

1) Huh, cheese isn't meat? Huh, candy isn't meat? Huh, yogurt isn't meat? Huh, cream isn't meat? ECT
Answer: a) Although many vegetarians don't bother with this, I'm a little bit more strict than most. Cheese for example, while it may not be a bleeding lump of flesh, does actualy contain product from a dead animal, the coagulant, rennet.
Natural rennet is extracted from the inner mucosa of the fourth stomach chamber of young, unweaned calves. These stomachs are a by product of veal production.
b) Yogurt, cream and almost all mints and soft lollies contain gelatin, sourced from partial hydrolysis of collagen from skin and bones. it is used to set many products such as yogurt, candy, cream, marshmallows and jelly.

2) Meg, why do you say you're vegan when you go out when I see you eat dairy or egg products at home LIARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR?
Answer: Becuase, simply put, it's too freaking hard to go through the whole "oh, does this have microbial rennet?" "can you double check on that yogurt?" when half the time they really don't care and are all like "Sure, sure it's vego...totally" Just saves arguments, time and confrontation.

3) Meg, why do you support and show interest in pharmaceutical testing in animals! You're SUCH a freaking hypocrite.
Answer: Hey now, who said I was a vegetarian because I care about animals? I just REALLY hate plants. Save all my hate for them.
No, no no, seriously now. The reason I do not eat meat is I don't believe in killing for pleasure, I mean, if I had to, I was stuck out on a island or something, I'll rip those cute bunnies a new nose hole.
I see eating animals as a "pleasure" as it's not necessary. People do it for taste, or the convenience of getting nutrients. When it is not required. I dont think I'm too unhealthy myself >.>
My opinion is the same for makeup. I hate the stuff on SO many levels, but that's another rant for another day. But torturing a life so you can hide behind a mask to deceive others of your appearance? seems like some kind of joke to me. that goes beyond my distaste for meat, Sorry ladies.
Pharmaceutical and medical testing directly saves lives and actually has a constructive use to mankind other than getting in mankind's pants. (Sorry ladies).
I do think human life has more value than animal. But that doesn't mean animal's lives are worthless.

4) Soy? I heard that makes your breasts big!

Soybeans contain genistein and daidzein which are the source of phytoestrogens in Soy. Because most naturally occurring estrogenic substances show weak activity, normal consumption of foods that contain these phytoestrogens should not provide sufficient amounts to elicit a physiological response in humans.

Genistein yes, if you pump yourself beyond what you would normaly eat healthily up may rarely act as a female hormone and have an effect on secondary sexual characteristics.
But on a flipside they can actualy block receptors of estrogen and inhibit these characteristics more often than not .
Thus the whole stick-esque vegan image.

5)How do you get iron, and protein and stuff? is it like...hard? :O
Answer: No, you get used to combining partial protein like beans and grains. eating truckloads of wilted greens for iron. Hardest thing to get naturally in my diet is B12, as it's unable to be synthesized in the human body, plants OR animals, only made by bacteria commonly found in meats and dairy products :X I tend to try and take pills for that. Also need to watch folate, as folic acid major influence on the absorption of b12. But too much masks deficiency.
Not much bacteria in fruit. unfortunately. Stupid heath and safety regulations

Non ranting answer? Yes it's hard but it just becomes a part of life.

Random PS. I was just reading ahead into chromatography in my chem book...I look forward to working with something called a retardation factor, LOOOOOL and people wonder why I love it.

Awesome summery of last few days

Went to geelong show, spent lotta money, stood around watching people, noticed that just about all the couples there have similar body types. nicole insists it's the skull shape. I need a new hobby.
While I went to see sheep at agriculture tend, grandma went "oh look meg, sheep!" turned around to see a bunch or hung, bloody, decapitated sheep. Tact.
I DID see some alive sheep, the heritage breeds were gorgeous.
Won a giant panda, yay

Also got exalted with sha tari, also got trinkie, funny SS

New physics student teacher, apparently dropped out of physics course because it made him hate life and decided teaching was easier, haha.
he has a bad habit of if you have a question, explaining it, then when somone say I get it, ty taking up another ten min of class time going though 10 more examples like he cant hear us.
He also while explaining tends to go down into a mumble "light acts as a particle and wave kdjgtht snell's law dhgudhguhilzngh and that's why I hate peanuts" and we're like, what?

I suppose in a culture built on sexuality and how things appear, I might have my dig at it.

This was sort of bought on by watching America's next top model or some bullocks like that and having this thing on how beauty is mostly defined by symmetry and thought I'd investigate that, see if I can chop off half my face and regrow a copy of the other half thanks to DEAD BABY research.

The first is an original, this sorta made me think,

The altered symmetry on the left looks a bit younger in my opinion,beside the fact I look grumpy and tired. Shorter chin, smaller, wider face. kinda not as pretty symmetrical as I hoped, I'm marginally more pleased with the one on the right, looks allot more cheerful and defined features in my opinion, longer, thinner and brighter eyes. the symmetry is allot better, the face is spread out and such.

My general conclusion is that I really don't look much prettier in the mirror. Maybe I'm just not beautiful in general and that's why this doesn't work, or maybe it only works on the TV's or post photo shop. regardless, I'm sure the general conclusion would be, myth busteeeed

I went to melbournes and saw, ran from Tom cruise, photo evidence, he was pouncing on me!!!!! XP

I also had a delicious breakfast at invista (spelling?) a vegetarian/vegan cafe outside victoria markets. The potato rosti was a little blander than usual though, but you problay dun care about that xP

I also got one of those mario mushroom candies, EPIC, I seriously don't know how that game didn't get a drug advisory "...Woah....I just ate this mushroom and my hands are HUGE! and I feel INVINCIBLE!?" yeah, but now I can go up to ppl offering mushroom candy telling them it'll make them large and invincible....maybe not!

I also baught some mogu mogu and chocolate I'm eyeing off right now that is very unfortunately, not mine......Yeah....

But seriously, for a small chain company, the consistency of the quality of chocolate is FABULOUS! It's easily my favourite chocolate company after the late Chocolate fire, you will be missed. Lots off SUPER dark choc, up to 99%.

I also finished my oddish toy and nearly all my cosplay, still need my hat, some gloves I can buy and staff detail..*cough*

Revolutionary Girl Utena

A very confusing show to say the least, with most of the concepts being hard to grasp some seeming very sick or unnessisary until much later (ie; characters ripping off their shirts, taking people for a ride in cars changing their life and phallic looking towers)
For a summery off wikipedia
The main character is Utena Tenjou, a tomboyish teenage girl who was so impressed by a kind prince in her childhood that she decided to become a prince herself (expressed in her manner of dress and personality). She attends Ohtori Academy, where she meets a student named Anthy Himemiya, a girl who is in an abusive relationship with another student. Utena fights to protect Anthy and is pulled into a series of sword duels with the members of the Student Council. Anthy is referred to as the "Rose Bride" and is given to the winner of each duel. As Anthy is thought to be the key to a coming revolution, the current champion is constantly challenged for the right to possess the Rose Bride.

This series is fantastic in its use of symbology, using archetypal images (Prince, princess, witch, demon, bride, villagers) as the basis for characters. If you look into these simplistic images, it's the key to unraveling the mystery of the loosely threaded plot. (Anthy having Chu Chu, a familiar and changing people into animals, Utena's transformation from a princess to prince, back again, Dios' transformation into Akio, a princess waiting for someone to save him)

I find Dios very interesting, at first I thought hmmm, he isn't real, is he? is he just the car Utena is riding on so to say? if you look at the ending credits, you can see how aloof he is and ectomorphic.

The whole "lesbian" thing in this series is overrated, and that's me saying that, the first few eps are dodgey just to grab attention from the mail masses. The starting cerdits would drive anyone off......ewwwwww

It rode on this ideal of changing the world or a characters view on it (Jury's feverous desire to disprove miracles that seems to happen to everyone but her). Often, these desires include revolutionising another person, which brings up the can of worms of "you can only change yourself" attitude in psychology. Which I agree with.

The main idea of true revoltion atthe end, the Akio car saga. It's an embodiment of what Akio wants, he rides apon the Ohtori (his number plate) academy to regain his powers, his revolution.

(Oh come on, you all know the academy isn't a normal place, right?)

When you watch the movie you see Anthy's Car being Utena, and Utena's car being the student council, her friends. Which brings up interesting ideas about motives...But that movie is stupid and refuse to acknowledge it!!!!!

There is also some interesting imagery in the background, baloons, animals, elephants, apples, cars, chairs, removal of clothes (it symbolises an opening of the person that wouldn't normaly happen btw!!!) that the characters seem to not notice! I think that the message in this is too easy to miss and isnt overly relevent unless you want to analyse the heck out of this series, which would be a bit of a task...

The main thing I took out of this series is Dios remains a seperate entity, as Akio was a "lord of the flies" before he was imbued with the power of Dios.

As, after all, there seems to be alot of dialog and interaction between Dios and other characters that Akio doesn't understand, in fact, the whole sword of Dios remains seperate from Akio when the duels are going on, and the whole spirit of Dios inhabiting Utena is heavily implied. But I'm not sure how far you'd get on that tangent as there isnt much beside the series to examine.

Just pay close attention or you'll get left behind with the car taking driving off without you and guys ripping their shirts off o.o (Show me a way that can't be seen as dodgey and I'll show you a liar)

Any ways, I'm done my rant for now, I just found some stuff in this series facinating and recomend you give it a try!

Wow it's been a while

Well, today I hit 80, have ANEW HAIRCUT curtesy of Roccoco, 100$ discount O.o and had my specs and gear ripped up by my first heroic teamates. Unholy is my future raid tank spec foos, I dual spec, or cant you count past one? huh?
